Some two years ago, the company put a mobile workshop on the road, reinforcing their commitment to provide only the very best of back-up services to their customers. The Transit Van is fully equipped to carry out repairs on site and is only a telephone call away. But prevention is always better than cure, so Musketeer offer a "preventative maintenance" package, whereby an engineer surveys a company's hydraulic system, then offers free advice, including possible modifications, and a suggested maintenance schedule to ensure trouble free operation.

When necessary in larger repair contracts, the faulty equipment is taken back to Musketeer's factory in Lisburn for a thorough overhaul, repair and test.

Fault diagnosis within an hydraulic system can be a difficult task and very often "trial and error" methods are employed, but these can prove time-consuming and costly, as well as contribute to unnecessary "down time".

So, in order to isolate faults and offer a systematic method of elimination, Musketeer Hydraulics provide a comprehensive Test Service. This not only saves money, but also assures the customer that all new and repaired units are supplied to the manufacturers specifications. A Test Certificate is issued with each repaired or assembled unit.

As an appointed quality assured distributor for Vickers Systems, Musketeer Hydraulics finds itself in the enviable position of being backed by one of the world's largest hydraulics companies!

That appointment ended the unfortunate ambiguity which had then existed, whereby various companies claimed to represent Vickers' interests using components sourced from other areas of the UK, Europe and the USA.

Now with Musketeer as an official distributor and service centre, there is guaranteed service and continuity of supply based on correct product selection and proper technical expertise.

It also means that Musketeer have access to the vast global resources in product development and engineering, electro-hydraulic system design, technical expertise, marketing, training and training aids that Vickers Systems has at its disposal, and consequently are well equipped to care for Vickers' Interest here in Northern Ireland.

MUSKETEER is the sole appointed N.I. sales and service centre for Enerpac. They stock and distribute Fairey Arlon Filtration products, BTP/Fadini gate, door and traffic barrier systems, Hydrotechnik test equipment and Commercial Hydraulics Liverpool pump products for mobile plant and marine equipment.

Musketeer designs have attracted international recognition, such as a gas cylinder clamping system, enabling Engineers to repair and maintain cylinder valves in a more practical and safe manner.

With an eye to the future, Musketeer Hydraulics are keenly interested in Education. Hydraulic Engineering requires highly-skilled employees, so the company is establishing firm links with schools, colleges universities, and Government Training Centres. This means regular visits and the supply of hydraulic manuals.
